Seven in Sydney

Happy Birthday To You! Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birthday Dear Molly! Happy Birthday to You!

We started the day opening the package from Grandma and PopPop, filled with goodies, including the birthday list worthy Zhu Zhu pets! She had some welcome and unwelcome help from the peanut gallery.

We walked down to retreive her cake from the Coogee Bakehouse and set off for the Entertainment Quarter - home of the Sydney Football Stadium and Cricket Grounds. This is also the home of the playground that prohibits high heels. We discovered more dress code issues at the Cricket Grounds. High heels are permitted here, as far as I can tell, but rubber thongs, masseurs, scuffs, slippers and dilapidated footwear are not. I'm couldn't figure out why a man who gives massages was in that list, so I did some hard core research and figured out a masseur is something like this:That makes more sense. Can you imagine enforcing these rules at a Big Ten Football game?
Molly and Charlie each chose a ride at the EQ for their birthday. Molly has been talking about these balls since we first saw them months ago and so there was not much deliberating. Although, in true Molly fashion, she did provide a lengthy explanation of exactly why this was her choice.

Unlike Molly, Charlie went for something you might find in Michigan (and it included two rides).

Mike did our last shopping trip with the car - its owner returns on Monday - then we celebrated the big SEVEN. Matches were on the list, but not to be found in the grocery store, so we lit by gas grill flames.

Molly got a new camera for her birthday - here's a picture of the inaugural picture (there have been many, many, many, many more since - and a few hundred fascinating videos).
