Migrant Workers

Ken drove west with his family to spend two days tiling our sun room with his trusty apprentice Mike. We let him out to do some farm work (feeding the horses) too.

Cousin Libby cracks Charlie up.

Even the children worked - Libby helped Daniel finish up his Animal Report project.

Molly and Lauren jump and jump and jump.

Marble Elementary School

300+ kids and only one was reported to the principal. Guess who?

Soccer Magic

The mighty Falcons of East Lansing took on the yellow team on Saturday. Daniel was overheard telling PopPop, "Yea, and I only let them score one goal on me." For lots of action, you definitely want to be on defense on this team!

Grandma comes to rescue her car

Grandma Linda had to take the train to East Lansing to retreive the car her son stole when he was stranded in the O'Hare airport. It was a big bonus for us because she removed 1.2 million dandelions from our yard and cleaned the refrigerator! Plus, we could play person-to-person with the kids!

(Pink) Charlie Floyd World Tour 2007

Charlie pilgrimaged east to see the birthplace of his brother and sister. He was fortunate enough to meet tons of people in Ithaca and Skaneateles. Here is is with Coleen-y and the Harrington Meyers, our gracious hosts!

Race for the Cure Lansing

On April 29th, Daniel, Molly and Stacy ran the Race for the Cure. Molly did a blistering 50 yard dash and Daniel ran an entire mile. Only Stacy did not get a medal, but she's over it, really. The "No Time to Read" Book Club also has "No Time to Run", but a bunch of us did anyway!

Now Showing: Biggest Birthday Bash 7

As Simon would say "Welcome to Hollywood!" The gang gathered for movie themed party. They first made their Walk of Fame stars with what they plan to be famous for. Daniel: Inventor, Konrad: Chemist, Emma: Tap Dancing, Petrus: Disco Dancing, and Tommy: President. They headed off to see "Meet the Robinsons" after some cake, ice cream and present opening.

Happy Birthday to Daniel

Daniel opened his present from Coleen live on speakerphone. Then blew out 7 candles on one cupcake - he had to adjust the airflow for the missing teeth.

All I want for Memorial Day is....

Cousin Libby got the first one and two days later Molly announced: "Da tooth out knee". The translation is, Daniel hit himself in the mouth with his knee and out it came.

A Full House for Easter

The caravan from Western PA brought our number up to 8 kids and 8 adults. We're used to being outnumbered, so this was a piece of cake :-). The shocking thing is that we managed to accomplish anything. The anythings in this case included: bowling, roller skating, baking and decorating sugar cookies, visiting the butterfly garden, consoling the two year olds who believe everything is "MINE", egg decorating and hunting, celebrating Lauren and Daniel's birthdays, and eating (Mom only brought 4 pies so we practically starved)! One of the highlights was Dr. Libby (age 6) pulling Daniel's VERY loose tooth while the squeamish mom's stood outside. She was overheard encouraging, "I've almost got it Dude!"

FEED ME!

Our 16 pound boy has graduated to rice cereal. We're hoping it helps him return to sleeping through the night, which he's given up lately. Molly usually hovers nearby chanting, "Baby Mess."

Look Mom, No Training Wheels

And away he goes! Notice the NY license plate (thanks Steve) - that's sure to attract the attention of the bike police. Now, he's addicted and rides his bike to the bus stop in the morning. How, you might ask, does the bike return home without its rider? Ahh, Mom is not too proud to ride a bike newly relieved of its training wheels. One size does not fit all, but it beats pushing it.

Potter Park Zoo

Daniel ran from animal to animal, devouring facts on their signs. Molly prefered to go from photo opportunity to photo opportunity. She's requesting we go "gun" (=again). I think she wants to perfect her joey smile.

Wacky Wednesday

Marble Elementary School had Wacky Wednesday. Watching Daniel get dressed inspired Miss Molly. Charlie, thankfully, still doesn't have opinions about what he wears.

The Skate-A-Rama

Zoom! Zoom! Zoom! Boom!

1...2...3... 1...2...3... Keep Breathing

The Exersaucer returns to take on Charlie Floyd. You go boy!

The Big Guy Goes the Florida

On the beach with Grandma Linda. Sandcastles, mini golf and feeding the seagulls. Life is good.

You Can Dance if You Want To

Look at this handsome man, who took his mom to the Mother Son dance at the community center. All you can eat cookies and the chicken dance, what more could a guy want?
