Art Gallery of New South Wales

Sunday afternoon was a trip downtown to the Art Gallery of New South Wales. We walked by where the race started 5 hours earlier and all signs that 85,000 stood there were gone. Entrance to the museum is free (we don't know why) and they have a kids show every Sunday afternoon. This Sunday was:

Aditi and her Rickshaw

Join Bronwyn Vaughan for a theatrical storytelling journey as she tells tales about a yellow thunder dragon, a snake charmer and magical silk brocade.

In this photo, you can see Aditi and her Rickshaw and the top of Charlie's head. This is before, the stories got a bit too dramatic for him and he rushed back to stand with his Mom and Dad!

The kids all LOVED, really LOVED, the contemporary art exhibit. Unlike some I've been to, this was mostly rated G, so that worked too! Daniel's favorite was a tv on it's side with images of black and white paint dripping down the screen. Molly liked the room that was painted with rainbow colors on the inside. We got our own paper version to make at home, as you can see below. Charlie liked a clown lying on the ground - expressing isolation :-).
